It is time again for Death By Bobcat to finally play some shows. We have
two coming up the next two weekends. One at
St. Andrews Hall/The Shelter
on November 20th and the other at the
Flint Local 432

November 9, 2004
Just what everybody has been patiently waiting for. BEHIND THE MUSIC PART 5
can now be found in the History Section. Enjoy this
one, because after harassing Mike
about it for a long time, he sent me a little start on it and i wrote the most
of it after that, and then mike just edited it. Let me
know know if it sucks or if it is ok. If it sucks, I won't do anything with
that anymore and leave it up to Mike
and Derek. Also there is
a new DBB LiveJournal Community
which was created by Ashley.
November 03, 2004
Well the election is over and Death By Bobcat updates are just starting...or
at least continuing. I hope you voted for who you wanted, because otherwise
the Bobcat will kill you dead. So on to updates. The Links
Section and the History Section have been updated.
Now in the Long History, it completes the Year Of The Bobcat. Also, There is
a song from the new albumn to be downloaded either at
Purevolume
or on the Songs Section. The song is "You Wouldn't Know
Art If It Hit You In The Face." Enjyoy and if this is the first time Derek
has been able to hear a song, then shame on you Mike. Shame.
October 21, 2004
Once again, there is more Long History in the History
Section updated. This time it goes from "The Year Of The Bobcat" and on. If
you don't know where you left off, you can always start from the beginning
and catch up on all your DBB knowledge. Now, your mission. Everybody needs to
e-mail mikeybobcat@deathbybobcat.com
and tell him you want to see Behind The Music Part 5.
October 19, 2004
Its Death By Bobcat update time. It looks like the show at the
Flint Local 432
in November is not going to happen. But the Christmas show is still on.
The Merch section has been updated. Also, the
Links, Songs, and
Members Sections have been updated. Finally, pictures
from recording have been put on the Pictures section,
thanks to Ashley.
October 9, 2004
Recording is finally finished and we are happy with it. Look for "We Got A Nuke"
to be released very soon with 13 songs, a split with The Hubies
on PunkHouse Records
featuring 4 songs, a 3 1/2 inch floppy release for free at the 5th Annual
Death By Bobcat Christmas Giveaway on December 26th at the
Flint Local 432, and
finally A song on a Blaster The Rocketboy/man tribute album titled "Wolverine". Special
thanks to Mark and his recording frenzy for doing the album. As soon as he gets
a webpage, it will be posted here. In site news, the Shows
section was updated with the December 26th show. Finally, what everybody has been waiting
for, the History section, has been updated. Unfortunately
it wasn't the Behind the Music, but the Long History. Everything starting
with "Death By Controversy" has been added.
September 22, 2004
We are writting songs, learning them, and recording them over the next few days. Wish
us luck.
September 10, 2004
2004 looks like it might rival 2003 for the "Year Of The Bobcat", but that will
be decided later. Death By Bobcat is now going to be recording songs for
three different releases at the end of September. The first is an EP/LP(depending
on how many songs are recorded) titled "We Got A Nuke". Artwork by the Amazing
Zak Frieling(as stated in newspost 08/20/04). The second will feature new and
old songs on a split with The Hubies
on PunkHouse Records. The
third will feature one song, a cover of a Blaster The Rocketboy song("Wolverine") for
a Blaster Tribute. So look out for those bobcat filled releases. Also, the
Links section has been updated, and will be updated mroe in the
future.
August 26, 2004
Even bigger Death By Bobcat update today. Roy now has a profile on the
Members section, and the rest of the members were updated. Spelling and grammer
errors were corrected on the Contest,
Songs and Pictures sections. Also, the
Christmas Giveaway section was updated, including an addition for the 5th
Annual Death By Bobcat Christmas Giveaway. Updates will take place in the near
future regarding the History sections and the
Links section of the website. Stay tuned for more
DBB updates(like you really care or read this). If you find any errors, feel
free to report them to Death By Bobcat.
Finally, Roy was added to the Contact section of the
website.
August 21, 2004
The Contest section of the website has been updated. There
are now 16 entries into the Death By Bobcat Slogan Contest. Enter and have a fun time.
August 20, 2004
So many changes in the Death By Bobcat world. First of all, WWW.DEATHBYBOBCAT.COM
was finally purchased. Also, remember to say congratulations to
Derek and Katherine on their
recent marriage. We wish them the best. We said it you should too. Ladies,
Derek is now officially taken. In other news, Death By Bobcat is recording
a EP(which will probably turn into a full length before we are through) in
Septemeber, titled "We Got A Nuke". Zak Frieling is doing the artwork for the
album, and it rocks so far. Thanks Zak. The Shows
section was updated and a 2003 news was created.
Thats all for now and more stuff to come later.
July 9, 2004
Wow it has been a long time since the last update, so since you waited so long, you
can now go to the Songs section an download the whole
lynx rufus lp. Have fun.
May 18, 2004
The shelter show was cancelled, the Mt. Pleasant show was fun, and the Bobcat

April 17, 2004
Two more shows coming up and maybe some DBB shirts soon too. More information
on the shows cn be found in the Shows section. That
sure isn't something new. See you then...hopefully.
March 19, 2004
Even more pictures are now in the Pictures
section. There were 5 shows updated, so there are a lot there now. The shows
were 12-22-2002, 03-07-2003, 05-17-2003, 05-23-2003 and 06-13-2003. Enjoy them,
it took a long time to get them up.
March 15, 2004
Pictures from the March 5th show are now up in the Pictures
section. Thanks to Autumn for taking these and sending them to me. Expect more
pictures sometime soon.
March 8, 2004
The March 5th show was great. Thanks to everybody for showing up. It was a
different show with a lot of variety, but it went very well. Also, way to go
Diver. I only got to see their first few songs before i had to leave, but those
songs rocked and i imagine the rest of the set did as well. No more shows until the
summer, but expect a few in may. Good times. Are you happy its updated now
Mr. Mikey Bobcat. We had a great time meeting people and hanging out
after the show. Its about time we made some freinds...yeah we suck.
February 9, 2004
There will be a new DBB show on March 5th at the
Flint Local 432.
More detailed can be found in the Shows section.
Also, while you enjoy BTM Part 4, Part 5 is in the works. Good times, just like
the old TV show.
January 28, 2004
The beloved Behind The Music Part 4 is now up which can be found in the
History thanks to Mikey Bobcat. Expect part 5
someday...hopefully.
January 16, 2004
This really isnt death by bobcat news, but oh well. My friend Grant finished the
expert minesweeper level in 88 seconds. I thought i was fast with 107 seconds, but
he is amazing. I know people beat it around 40 seconds, which is insane, but i have
never met anybody personally who has beat it as fast as he did. Oh well, that
amuzed me and i guess thats what happens being a geek at a geek school.
January 11, 2004
Now you can download songs from the Pisst-Off Bobcat Split CD too at the
Songs section. Thats two whole albums, if you can actually
call them that. Good times for all.
January 6, 2004
For those who never got the Little Jimmy's Yellow Pants CD, the songs from it
can now be downloaded off this website if you just go to the Songs
section of the website. They are encoded at 192 kbps so they are a little larger
than some mp3's, oh well, live with it. Enjoy and remember to go to the show
at the local this friday to watch Mikey Bobcat play drums for
Blackstone Style, and
also at some place on Saturday.
January 5, 2004
The show on the 26th was great. It was an honor to play
Kid Brother Collective's
last show. They will be missed. In other news, Our drummer, Mikey Bobcat, is also
in another band called
Blackstone Style playing drums for them. They are playing at the
Flint Local 432
on Friday Jan. 9th, so go out and give him, and the rest of the band, your support.
For you Death By Bobcat Site Enthusiasts, the Links and
the Shows sections have bee updated. Yeah. By the way,
takeout rocks and so does thier new cd. If you don't have, it shame on you.
